Bollywood Daughters

Bollywood , the biggest movie making industry in the world , in terms of movie it releases every year has tradition of sons of yesterday's superstar taking their father's , grandfather's profession ahead by entering it.

Randhir , rishi kapoor , kumar gaurav , sanjay dutt, sunny deol , boby deol , hrithik roshan , abhishek bachchan , the list goes on. Likes of aamir khan , farhan akhtar , salman khan too have had family who were in bollywood.

Not many stars were happy to see their daughters being part of showbiz though. But trend saw change in 1990s and now many superstars of yesterday have their daughters trying to make their mark in industry as actress.

Here is list of some of them :

1) Karishma Kapoor/Kareena Kapoor :

The two sisters belong to first family of bollywood. This is fourth generation in field of acting . Prithviraj Kapoor started acting/directing in theater. All three sons of prithvi became big stars in bollywood. Rajkapoor , the eldest son of prithviraj went on to become legend while shashi and shammi were big stars in their own right. Raj's son too tried in bollywood but among them only rishikapoor had a successful career as actor.Randhir kapoor was promising star but soon faded away. Karishma and Kareena are daughter of randhir kapoor and babita (who herself was heroine).

While kareena is among top five actresses of current times , her elder sister too was big star not many year back.

2) Kajol :

She is an timeless superstar who manages to give hit even when she does movie after break of two-three years. Mother of girl child and wife of ajay devgan , kajol in undoubtedly one of finest actress of all times.

Daughter of tanuja , kajol belonged to family which acted in movies. Her maasi (nutan) still has record of highest filmfare award while her maternal grandmother too was heroine in her times.

Kajol's sister too entered bollywood but couldnot become successful in her career.

3) Riya Sen/Raima Sen :

Daughter of moon moon sen and grandaughter of mega star suchitra sen , riya and raima are well known stars. While raima sen had done critically acclaimed movies , riya sen is known for glamor.

4) Esha Deol :

It is not easy to be daughter of one of most successful heroines of her era. Esha deol is daughter of HE-MAN dharmendra and dream girl , hema malini. Esha has not been able to live to expectation of being daughter of two big names of bollywood.

5) Sonam Kapoor :

Sonam kapoor is daughter of mega talented and one of most versatile actor of bollywood , anil kapoor. Sonam has acted in two movie which had not been commercially successful but she has been noticed , both by people and critics.

She endorses few brands and is known as style Icon. She has shown lot of promise and can become big star in future.
