Does Ghost Exist?

Ghost , Bhoot , Pret ..Time and again ghost and its existence is discussed in India. While many dont believe in ghost , many dont discard it , many have strong belief on existence of ghost.

Do ghost exist?. To answer this query I went to meet what is called as bhuya (person who is considered to be expert in getting rid of ghost from someone's body).

My first question to him was -'what proof does he have that ghost does exist?'.

His prompt reply was-'what proof do i have that ghost doesnot exist?'.

I replied-' Well we can't see ghost , neither we have seen any concrete evidence to prove its existence. Quiet often the cases we here about someone being occupied by ghost is case of some psychological disorder'

He again replied-'You view from eyes, hear for ears and process from brain. Now suppose your five sources of information capturing aren't equipped to gather information of something , does that mean that doesnot exist?.There are species who can smell things from 1.5 kms away and if they could talk , they would say 1.5 kms away from here , there is xyz thing but since you are not equipped with capacity of smelling 1.5 kms away , you would reject it , in same way since you are not equipped with faculities to view,see and hear ghost , you reject it'.

Then he gave me example to two cases in which according to him , ghost had occupied bodies and he successful got them rid of ghost. Now both cases were about young people with normal family background. Both weren't taken to psychiatrist (so psychiatrist opinion couldnot be seeked in these cases) , but both could have been case of psychological disorder too.

When I discussed this topic with student of psychology , most of them rejected existence of ghost and called it brain's thing only.

Does ghost exist ?. Well it seems it does for those who believe in it and doesn't for those who dont believe in it!!!!!!. But as that bhuva said , we perceive things on basis of faculties we have and maybe there are things beyond that which we cannot perceive. Like ultrasound. Now we know that are sound beyong  your range of hearing but they do exist. But it didnt seems to exist for our ancestors because they couldnot hear it and had no means to measure it. But it existed.

Or may be ghost doesnot exist , it never did and it was all creation of our own brain. Mind is most mysterious organ.
