I am 40 But Won't Marry A Widow

Well there is a person in my family friend's circle who didn't marry when he should have had married...obviously it is his life and so it was his choice not to marry when he was in 20s or early 30s. There is no issue to that but issue is that now he is 40 and he wants to marry...

But he has conditions which are as following :

1) Girl should be good looking

2) Girl should be good cook

3) Girl should not be career oriented

4) She should be perfect serving human being

5) Above all girl should not be divorcee or widow , she should be unmarried...

Fifth point is most important to him. Girl should be virgin and even if she is not virgin she should pretend to be one...Widow or divorcee are almost always non virgin so he has objection to that..

Thats what is called classic example of how deep rooted virginity is in subconscious minds of old civilization...

Supreme court of India yesterday opined that pre maritial sex and live in relationship is no offense. Supreme court is hearing petition filed by noted filmstar khusboo seeking to quash 22 criminal cases filed against her after she allegedly endorsed pre-maritial sex in interviews to various magazines in 2005.

Now khusboo had in her interview to magazine was promoting safe sex among young woman. In same interview she expressed her personal opinion that no educated person must expect his to be wife or girlfriend to be virgin. This fumed some political parties who filed 22 criminal cases against khusboo.

Its same virginity issue which makes love affair quite often not taken in good light in many places in India . Its same virginity issue which makes girl's parent get their daughter married at younger age and its same virginity issue which links with izzat of woman.

Expectation of being virgin must not be gender biased. If it is considered to be so important then it should be applicable to both man and woman. Expecting that to be wife would be virgin by man who himself is not virgin is height of hypocracy.

Promoting monogamy is different thing and expecting only girls to remain virgin is altogether different manner. Whether one remains virgin or not is personal choice after one becomes adult.

Yes if we have to promote something it is sex education. Aids , safe sex, responsibility of pregnancy are aspects which younger must be promoted.

If after becoming adult , a person is considered to be mature enough to choose who would run the country , he/she is mature enough to take his/her call of personal issues. Isn't it?
