Katrina Kaif is one of most successful heroines of recent times. She has had more hits than any other actresses in last two years. Born to Indian father and british mother , katrina came down to India to become an actress , six years ago. She had started modelling early and was keen to make her mark in bollywood.

She landed up with her first film which had none other than mega star amitabh bachchan in it. Movie was crap and soon was forgotten. Then katrina met salman khan and rest as it is said is history.

Salman khan took her in his home production 'Maine pyaar kyun kiya' .Movie was light hearted comedy . Katrina was pretty face but her acting skills needed upgradation.

Her fortuned turned gold when she paired opposite akshay kumar. Their first movie together failed to make any mark but then they had series of hits to their name. Akshay calls katrina his lucky charm.

Here are my personal favorites of katrina kaif .

1) Namaste London :

She plays an Indian girl settled in london. She considers herself to be totally british . She is forced to get married to akshay kumar by her parents. She abides to their decision till she is in India. She along with her parents and akshay kumar get backs to london. Katrina Kaif is already in love with another man and so dumps akshay kumar citing that since marriage is not registered in london , it is not valid. Movie follows traditional bollywood story where akki agrees to become her best man in her wedding . Finally katrina realizes that she now is in love with akshay kumar and goes back to India with him.

2) Race :

She plays negative role in movie which had all people with shades of gray in it. She plays lover of akshay khanna who is step brother of saif ali khan. Katrina is also secretary of saif ali khan . After saif is assumed to be dead , katrina kaif produces marriage certificate taking claim over saif's insurance policy. Race was fast paced movie and one of biggest hits.

3) Humko Deewana Kar Gaye :

Not a commercially successful movie but this is one of best movies of katrina kaif. Akshay kumar , katrina kaif both are engaged to their respective to be life partners. While akshay is engaged to bipasha basu , katrina is engaged to anil kapoor. Akshay and katrina meet in canada and slowly it evolves into friendship then into love. An misunderstanding separates them and both get back to India and get married to their respective fiance/fiancee . Destiny makes them meet again and what follows is typical climax.

4) Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani :

A simple story but blended nicely by raj kumar santoshi this movie became one of biggest hit of last year. Ranbir-Katrina look great together on screen and this was one of few movies where katrina is seen loving a man of her age group!!!.

5) Newyork :

Arguably the best work of katrina as far as her acting skills in concerned , newyork revolves around three friends , Katrina, john abhram , neil mukesh. Movie starts with neil sitting in front of FBI officer and movie then takes to flash back which has story of these three friends. Neil is planted by FBI in katrina-john's life since FBI suspects john to be terrorist running a sleep cell. Katrina does a great job in the movie and as some critics said , best surpise of the movie was katrina kaif's acting.

6) Raajneeti :

The latest movie of katrina has become blockbuster. The mulistarrer movie had acting gaints like nana patekar , Naseeruddin Shah, ajay devgan and manoj bajpai along with handsome hunk arjun rampal and next superstar ranbir kapoor . Sarah thompson played part of ranbir's girlfriend.

Inspired from epic mahabharata raajneeti is story with political theme . Katrina kaif plays childhood friend of ranbir's family . Ranbir's shrewdly gets her married to his elder brother who dies in car bomb attack. Katrina then takes over the party on insistence of ranbir.

Katrina Kaif giving long speech in hindi itself was challenging for her but she did her role perfectly and moved one more step forwards in her journey.

Katrina has done some all and all masala movies like welcome , singh is king which have made big super hits but above six are what I think her movies which saw her acting skills.
