Most Awaited Bollywood Movies That Failed

They were most awaited movies of bollywood. They had everything needed to attract the audience. They had super stars in the

movie , big directors , big producers  and right publicity. But still they failed to impress the audience.

As news of ravana not doing well in boxoffice started doing rounds in media , I am here by revisiting some big movies which

failed in last two years.

1) Chandini Chowk To China :

One couldn't have asked for more. Akshay Kumar had given series of super hits and blockbuster before this movie while deepika padukone was next sensation of bollywood. The movie was expected to be huge hit but it failed to make its mark in box office.

2) Tashan :

Tashan was multi starrer film with likes of anil kapoor , saif ali khan , kareena kapoor and akshay kumar. This action movie was expected to do huge business considering it was product of yash raj films. Kareena donned bikini for the film but her bikini act could not save the film.

3) Blue :

One of most expensive movies of bollywood , blue too had super star akshay kumar in the movie along with sanjay dutt , zahid khan , lara dutta. Akshay had his lucky charm katrina doing cameo and Kylie Minologue singing for the movie. But audience slammed the movie . Many felt watching national geographic was better than watching blue which had many under water sequences.

4) London Dreams :

The movie brought ajay devgan and salman khan together after 'hum dil de chuke sanam'. The movie had asin in it which was acting in hindi movie after gajini. Vipul shah directed the movie. It has all necessary ingredient namely two big stars , new sensation , seasoned hit director but movie bombed in box office. London Dreams shattered audience dreams of  being entertained.

5) Veer :

Ambitious project veer had story written by super star salman khan who acted as veer in the movie. Considering it was period film , expert director for periods anil sharma directed the movie. It has necessary hype with salman roping in katrina look alike for the movie. The movie was failure.

6) Yuvvraaj :

Subhash gai was back with yuvvraj and he roped in his favorite actor anil kapoor along with salman , katrina and zahid.

Salman-Katrina jodi created necessary hype and coming from non other than subhash gai , people had high expectation from the movie. But did movie deliver?. Unfortunately answer is no.

7) Drona :

After abhishek's childhood friend hrithik roshan , it was abhi's turn to become super hero. But this super hero didn't impress the auidence . It was big time failure but rumors are that director is planning sequel of the movie.

8) What's Your Raashee? :

Ace director ashutosh gowarikar and queen of bollywood Priyanka Chopra go together for what's your raashee. Priyanka Chopra had won awards for fashion and was hailed for her kaminey role while ashutosh had reasonable success with Jodha-Akhbar. Added to that Priyanka Chopra was doing 12 roles in the movie . All these factors made this movie one of most awaited film . The movie failed but Priyanka Chopra got her name in Guinness book for highest number of roles in single movie.

9) Kites :

Hrithik Roshan , Rakesh Roshan and anurag basu. Three big names getting together and making movie ,itself creates needed buzz. Added to that videshi men , barbara mori does the lead role and reliance does distribution.Well movie was supposed to be cross over platform for hrithik roshan but in attempt to cross over , the movie failed to cross the finishing line to be declared as hit. The necessary hype did make sure that it became second highest earner for first day but it could not sustain and movie was failure.

10) Raavan :

Maniratnam is one of best things which has happened to Indian Film industry , be it be bollywood or be it be southern movie industry. This man doesnot need stars to make movie hit . Raavan had stars too. It has abhishek , aishwarya rai , govinda and national award winner vikram. It had all necessary hype and people were looking forward to another mani ratnam's work . Mani who made abhishek give some of his best works , failed to make this movie work. Though it has been mere four days since movie was released , it looks like this movie wont survive.
