She entered bollywood opposite shahrukh khan in bazzigar. Later on her career had ups and down . Her career was revived again when she won big brother (uk). Shilpa then entered big boss as host . She started her own perfumes . She along with her husband bought Rajasthan Royals (IPL Team). Currently she is judge in zara nach ke dikha.
Shilpa shetty is known more for her dance but she is one of most under rated actress which has time and again given some fabulous performance in hindi movies. Here is list of shilpa shetty's best work in acting .
1) Dhadkan :
Dharmesh darshan is known to have re presented heroines in his movie. Karishma kapoor hit gold when dharmesh casted her in raja hindustani. She looked stunning in her new look. Same was expected for shilpa when dharmesh casted her in dhadkan. Movie was hit and akshay/shilpa/sunil shetty did good job in their roles.
The movie was love triangle with sunil shetty playing lover of shilpa. Sunil is indifferent to the world and poor. Shilpa on other hand is quiet rich girl who loves her poor boyfriend. Her boyfriend is rejected by shilpa's father and she gets married to akshay kumar . Shilpa doesnot accept akshay as her husband. Akshay on other hand plays idealitic character right from books!!!!!.
Gradually shilpa begins to accept akshay and they are about to begin happily lived ever theme when sunil re enters their life. In three years time sunil become millionare and tries to get shilpa back!!!!
As expected story ends with Indian wife standing for her husband and sunil getting out of their way.
2) Phir Milenge :
A wonderful movie which failed to impress audience but managed to get critically acclaimed. The movie deals with subject of aids and discrimination which it brings along. Shilpa shetty plays role of career woman who works in ad firm. She is good at her job and is totally committed and dedicated to it. She goes for college re union where she meets salman khan . Shilpa loved salman but neither of two had conveyed their feelings during college. In one weak moment both make love . Shilpa comes back to her office
and gets back with routine life.
Her world shatters when her sister meets accident. She needs blood and shilpa volunteers for it. It is then that she is told that she is HIV positive. Soon she is kicked out of her job . Official reason conveyed to her is lack of performance but she believes it is her HIV that has made her office react in that fashion.
She fights case for her right and wins the battle. Abhishek bachchan plays her lawyer in the movie.
3) Apne :
The movie brought sunny deol , bobby deol and dharmendra together for first time. Sunny and bobby had acted together in dilagi but trio acted together for first time in 'apne'. The movie was their home production and revolve around the trio. Shilpa plays role of sunny's wife in the movie. She holds her ground and slips into the role very easily.
4) Dus :
Multistarrer dus is movie based on anti terror cell headed by sanjay dutt. It has sanjay dutt , abhishek bachchan , zayed khan , esha deol , sunil shetty , raima sen , dia mirza , pankaj kapoor along with shilpa shetty in the movie. The movie is action thriller and shilpa plays
cop in the movie. She looks awesome in formals and does give full justice to her role.
5) Life In Metro :
Life in metro is one of best works of anurag kashyap who next movie kites is one of most awaited movies of 2010. Life in metor revolves around 7 different individuals who life in mumbai. It was multistarrer movie which had dharmendra, shiney ahuja , sharnam joshi , kangana ranut,Konkona Sen Sharma,irfan khan,Kay Kay Menon, nafisa ali along with shilpa shetty in the movie.
Kay Kay menon and shilpa are couple . Shilpa plays housewife in loveless marriage with kay kay. She gets involved with shiney ahuja due in desire to be loved. Their friendship turns into affair. Guilty of having affair she is not able to cross her limits . She gets full marks for her act of a lady who cares for her husband and daughter , wants love , fells for another man and become guilty for it.
